ADAI and its associated partners make available to the entities that intervene in the forest fire management of the studied areas and to the general public, a new informatics platform where will be placed, in real time, the results obtained in the measurements of the moisture content in the various measurement locations.
The main objective is to develop a fire risk prediction model in view of the new climatic reality taking into account the moisture content behavior of the species present in the Portuguese forest from moisture content measurements and meteorological parameters performed in various national territory and laboratory tests.
Measurements of moisture content carried out in various locations throughout the country (Lousã, Faro, Viana do Castelo and Viseu) will take place throughout the project, thus creating a unique analysis database.
They are therefore invited to make use of this new technological tool in order to facilitate communication between the agents involved.
